 A lot of my filming, as is detailed in my screenplay, is going to take place on streets and given the nature of my film, they will need to be nice and quiet streets with ideally no/very few cars and people for a long enough time to get the right shots and create the isolated, desolate aesthetic that I am trying to achieve. As a result, some roads in Dulwich, as well as Herne Hill, will be the right level of quiet for this. These roads (street view and map view) are detailed below:

Screenplay Complete Draft

 This was my first complete draft of a screenplay, completed in early December. I felt as though I had most of the broad storyline down and it was mostly dialogue and more specific elements that would be worked on before filming. UNTITLED SHORT FILM EXT. ABANDONED PLAYGROUND – MORNING Grey skies. Scattered around the floor are what appear to be human bodies, yet they don’t look like dead bodies, they seem to be still conscious and alive, yet somehow unhuman at the same time. A scruffily clad teenage girl steps backwards into frame and slowly backs into the open space ahead of her, she has a panicked expression and seems to As she backs up slowly, a news report suddenly breaks the silence. At this point two other figures break into the frame, slightly stumbling forwards and mumbling quietly, seemingly in English but impossible to properly make out. The path of the girl is followed as she backs up into a set of swings, into a corner and it is presumed that she cannot escape

Pros and Cons of Digital vs Physical presentation

Some of the pros of digital presentation include: Digital work is much easier to edit seamlessly than physical work, annotated screengrabs can be used in the place of sketches in some cases, everything is much easier to keep in order. However, one major con of digital presentation is that you have a risk of not saving your work and losing everything and having to redo everything you have just done - there is no risk of this with physical work. Some of the pros of physical presentation include: You have more control over the intricate details of the aesthetic of your work, and like mentioned before, you can't forget to save your work, so can't lose everything and have to restart. The cons of physical presentation are that: It could be difficult to get all handwritten notes into one place and in order, and that it is harder to add anything digital to physical work, than it is to add physical work to a digital presentation. The Ellington Kid - Spectatorship

 In ‘The Ellington Kid’, we are situated with certain characters through the positioning of the camera. This happens so that different emotions and feelings are created towards those certain characters. For example, with Nathan and Beefy, the two characters having the conversation, we are situated right in their conservation, with an eyeline match, being on the other side of the room, and there visibly being space at their table. When it comes to spectating the Ellington Kid himself, we are situated with the boys behind him, we are the threatening presence following him, and this feeling thus creates sympathy for the threatened kid and emotionally aligns us with him. This alignment with the gang also just makes us, as the audience, feel much more predatory in general, creating a discomfort in the actions of our viewership, and so the gang as well. Lastly, the kebab shop workers – most of the shots they are involved with are POV shots from their position, which again separates the boys
